Medicare Plans

There are many plans and programs available through MyAARPMedicare that are not included with original Medicare. You may not be able to get everything you need to live a healthy lifestyle under original Medicare (Parts A & B). The Medicare Parts A and B do not include prescription drug coverage, nor do they include dental, vision, or hearing coverage that you may consider essential to your health.

The Medicare Supplement Insurance Program (Medicare Parts A and B) covers healthcare costs not covered by Original Medicare. These plans are often called Medigap Plans.

Medicare Prescription Drug (Part D) Plans help pay for medications prescribed by a doctor. Private insurance companies approved by Medicare offer part D plans. This plan can help you save money on your prescription drugs and give you peace of mind.

Special Needs Plans (SNPs) are a unique kind of Medicare Advantage plan offered by private insurance companies for specifically qualified individuals. All SNPs include prescription drug coverage, but the availability of plans will depend on where you live.
